GFI Informatique
First-half earnings
In compliance with the Autorité des Marchés Financiers’ communiqués of 16 October 2006 and 14 February 2007 relative to application of the European Transparency Directive, GFI Informatique has decided to publish comments on its first-half earnings before 31st August. Owing to exceptional circumstances and in particular the public offer, GFI Informatique was not able to release its half-year financial report before 31st August. The comments below are based on statements that have yet to be approved by the board of directors and are currently being examined by the statutory auditors.
Comments on first-half activity
GFI Informatique recorded organic revenue growth of 6.7% in the first half of 2007. The fact that growth was sustained in spite of disruptions linked to the hostile takeover bid is testimony to the group’s commercial dynamism.
This strong commercial success, combined with the turnaround achieved at the Northern European subsidiaries and the healthy margins generated in Spain and Portugal, allowed GFI Informatique to post an increase in operating margin on ordinary activities* compared with the first half of 2006, when it reached 6%.
The group is therefore in line, in the first half 2007, with its objectives for the 2010 plan.
Comments on other significant events of the first half
The capital increase project considered in the first half 2007, the expenses stemming from the public offer and restructuring efforts have generated around €4 million of non current operating charges during the first half.
The net result should therefore show an increase compared to the net result recorded in the first half 2006.
*Note: operating margin on ordinary activities = ordinary operating profit / revenue

GFI Informatique will publish its first-half 2007 earnings on 12 September, after the Paris market closes.
