GFI Informatique wins SAP R/3 migration contract for
Cofathec in Italy

The pre-sale work carried out by GFI Informatique's joint French/Italian team enabled the company to win this international SAP R/3 migration project, known
as Harmonie, ahead of top-level competition.

Cofathec

Cofathec groups all Gaz de France's service activities in France and the rest of Europe, with sales of € 1.4 billion and 8,500 employees. Cofathec is present in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Benelux countries, Switzerland and Spain. Cofathec's Italian subsidiary is number two in Italy with sales of € 500 million and 2,400 employees, and is firmly customer oriented as each market corresponds to a dedicated company.

GFI Informatique and Cofathec

Since 1999, GFI Informatique provides on-site Third Party Applications Maintenance for Cofathec's information system. Cofathec in Italy wishes to upgrade its information system to homogenise applications, currently split amongst various systems, and prepare for the growth in its activity which cannot be absorbed by its present information system. The contract concerns the transposition of the solution implemented in France and the United Kingdom taking into account the legal differences. GFI Informatique has naturally entrusted this assignment to consultants who are perfectly bilingual in French and Italian.

The system must be available to Cofathec in Italy on 1 January 2008.
