Turnover analysis

Organic growth accelerated in the fourth quarter, with turnover up by 7.8% at constant scope, marking the strongest growth rate of the year after progressing steadily each quarter.

Organic growth in France came to 9.6% in the fourth quarter, reflecting good performances in the public sector, banking and telecommunications sectors as well as in ERP software (Oracle, SAP, Adonix), payment systems and time management. This upturn in organic growth augurs well for 2006.

The group's activities in Spain, Portugal and Canada continue to post robust growth. GFI Informatique is continuing to invest in these subsidiaries to ensure the best conditions for their future development. In Italy, Q4 turnover was stable relative to the fourth quarter of 2004, which is encouraging for 2006.

Sales activity

GFI Informatique continues to invest in its high added value strategic products. Robust sales dynamics enabled it to obtain numerous major contracts as in the following examples.

  • Government/public sector: Gendarmerie Nationale (Intranet), EDF/GDF (TMA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare and Ministry of the Interior (TMA), Bouches du Rhône (TMA), de la Moselle (Pegase software package) regional councils. International: the Basque Country's Health Service (purchasing management system).

  • Bank: BNP Paribas Assurance (TMA), Natexis Banque Populaire (Consulting), BNP Paribas (service centre), Crédit Agricole Regional Bank (Operating system outsourcing: Adelior), Hypo Aldre in Italy (Security).

  • Telecommunications: France Telecom (TMA, service centre), SFR Cegetel (TRA). International: Telefonica Moviles (three-year applications development and maintenance contract)

  • Payment systems: Caisse Nationale du Crédit Agricole (industrialisation of the payment systems business), Paris Municipal Authorities (parking meter payment with Monéo), GIE Carte Bleue (Carte Cadeau project implementation), and Total (petrol card management: Adelior)

  • Time Management Solutions: Ministry of Justice (management of prison staff). International: State of Geneva, European Union Council of Ministers, and Moroccan Public Treasury.

  • ERP solutions: PSA (SAP), Rousselot (SAP), Solvay Pharma (SAP) Lehning laboratories (Adonix), Samsic (Adonix), La Poste (Oracle)

Other significant events

  • In Italy: the restructuring plan is continuing according to plan. The measures already taken to reduce costs and staff numbers, together with a new organisation and a new management team, will enable this subsidiary to return to profit in 2006.

  • In Spain: at the beginning of February 2006 GFI Informatique finalised the takeover of Savac Consultores S.L. a software company specialised in information systems for healthcare organisations. Savac Consultores S.L. generates turnover of around €4 million with a good level of profitability. This acquisition adds to the group's specialised offers in Spain and enables it to continue its development in this country.

  • The integration of Adelior/Actif is continuing smoothly. The synergies are in the process of being implemented at Group level.

  • To remunerate the Adelior shares contributed to the offer, GFI Informatique's share capital was increased by 3,185,325 new shares. The capital of GFI Informatique now amounts to 92,679,048 euros made up of 46,339,524 shares, all of the same category, with a nominal value of 2 euros each.
